Because of my problem with the window sticker on my CLS55 - 030 not showing that the car has LSD I have asked my salesman to contact MBUSA and correct the sticker and send me a new one. Maybe this will bring this to MBUSA's attention and they will include the LSD listing on future 030 cars and stop the confusion about the 030 package having LSD included. - - Bob

 

I have never heard of a car company correcting a window sticker before, but then I have never heard of anyone asking. Did you tell them to correct their spelling, too?

So what was your dealer's response to you wanting a new window sticker. I can imagine that going over like a sack of bricks at my dealership.

 

They really should give you a new one, especially with the car in question. It's not like it's a bottom of the barrel c class, that could have an impact on the resale of your car.

Besides the fact that it is plain stupid to have a misspelled word on it. How many times have people (including myself) complained about people on this board misspelling words like that?

In any case, it was someone over here that made the mistake. The lables are printed and installed at the ports, so it probably was an american that did it.....

 

My friggin' dealer almost threw away my window sticker. They actually pull it out from the trash bin, unfolded it, and handed it to me like nothing happened......

 

I am really **** about my window stickers. I told my dealer to keep their hands off it. I removed it myself so its perfect and unfolded. They should make it a law like those those tags on matresses that read "Not to be removed by anyone except the consumer".

 

I like Honda's new Window Stickers since they show NHTSA crash test results as well next to the EPA's fuel economy. I think its great information for the consumer like you and I.

Bob, hats off to you for trying to get MBUSA to get its act together. I too will write them a letter and email as should others here. This is the only way to get them to change their practices. If Sam, can get them to fix the website, we can sure as hell get a better window sticker.

 

I agree w/ MB Fanatic, the should include the crash test results too.

I don't think that a crash rating and what not is significant.

Well, I just talked to Kirk Dawson @ Fletcher Jones Mercedes and MBUSA finally realizes that the CLS55-030 Window Sticker was incorrect when it did not show the car as having LSD.

So now, they are going to re-print a new Window Sticker listing LSD as being included, and mail it to me. I hope this will translate to the correct Window Stickers being installed on all the reamaining CLS55-030 cars yet to be delivered. - Bob

 

You da man!!! I just contacted my salesperson and started the process of him tracking down the right person at MBUSA to contact to see what we need to do to get my sticker re-printed as well.

do you guys care so much about a windowsticker?
What do you need that for?

 

I wrote a letter to them last week regardiing this issue and many others I have with MBUSA. Hopefully we see some changes for the better.

 

Getting the correct window sticker keeps my OCD in check..

 

The window sticker is the only piece of information many buyers will look at and they would like to see what features and options are on the car that they may be purchasing.

Add me to that list as well. I take pride and joy in owning my cars and they should be perfect in every aspect that I deem to suit me.

 

I special ordered my car, so my dealer gave me a perfect copy of the window sticker. They didn't glue it to the window, they just put in the trunk.

 

I told my dealer the same thing do not put the window sticker on just give it to me. This is the first car that I special order. So every detail must be saved, I framed my order sheet with the receipt of my deposit. It's in my office

Doesnt it get placed on at the point of entry into the country? At PDI? Thats what I though.
