Question for CLS 55 owners
I just spotted Silver CLS 55 here in Portland, I passed the car and looked my mirror and I found out the car has halogen bulbs. Does HIDs come as an option for CLS 55?

Xenon is The Term!
YABADI - All CLS55s come with "Xenon" (not Halogen) low beam lights. There is a lighting option that will change the high beam lights to "Xenon" also. ("Bi-Xenon" lighting Option). Hope this helps.

actually the cls 55 and E55 do not have low beam xenons standard, you have to pay for the lighiting package which gives you both high and low beam xenon lights. it really stupid for a 80k car not to have this as a standard option when a 30k acura has navigation and xenon lights.

The CLS55 does not come with Xenon lights of any form as standard equipment. That is the SL you are referring to.

Well that started with the advent of the new W211 AMG's and cost cutting over at MB. Hopefully under Zetsche things change for the better and they already are. Quality is up, fired 6000 workers in an effort to increase quality and the electrical gremlins seemed to have been solved for the most part.

Glad I Ordered Bi-Xenon Lighting Package!!!
WOW - I did not know that the CLS55 did not come standard with low beam Xenon Lights!! Well, I feel real lucky that I made the decision to add the Bi-Xenon Lighting Option, I could of ended up with no Xenon lighting on the car and that would have been a real Bummer!! -
