It was either lowered with a lowering module from companies like Brabus, Kleemann, or Renntech. Or, it was lowered via Star Diagnostics which is basically changing the voltage settings on the Airmatic system itself and is the way to go IMO.

Exclamation To Low For Module or Star Diagnostics Lowering!

Lowering modules and Star Diagnostics MAX out ar around an 1" to 1 1/4" lower than stock ride height. This CLS55 was lowered (looks like about 1 1/2" to 2") with Sensor links or Sensor Brackets IMO. - Bob

Thumbs up Looks Great!

cHicKnFEET - How about when your cruising at 85 MPH, does the car still lower a little like it did at stock ride height? Also, can you raise the car by using the button on the console?

Did BK Motoring install "Crash Bolts" (Eccentric Control Arm Bushings) to align your front and rear wheels, as part of the lowering job, to bring the camber back into Factory Spec.?

Finally, how does it ride at that ride height?

- Bob

links-
everything on the car works perfectly.
it lowers, raises (w/ button), sport I, sport II......
the ride isnt effected b/c its not springs, its air.i know all this b/c my cousin sells links at his shop (harbor motorsports, santa ana) and he has them on an e and a sl.

btw,
i believe they r cheaper than the star diagnostics thing

My tech did it for me at Laguna Niguel, though I know him personally. Sad part is he wont do it for anyone else since he doesnt want to be held liable or anything.

I say call Steve and see when he is going to be back in the area, im sure Sunil, aka Sunman can do it as well. Both are highly qualified MBZ modifiers and have Star Diagnostics to do it correctly.

Great Pictures. That lowering looks great. Everytime I see a CLS55 I think, is it about time to see the old S500.
