Seems like a lot of money for an option for someone in a high traffic area, but I wanted to see if anyone here who had it had a definative opinion.

 

Have it on an R230 SL500 and a LS430 -- use it heavily on both.

 

It's quite amazing technology.

 

If you use your cruise control a lot now then it is a useful feature.

Is it worth the money??
Probably not, but it's just too cool to not have.

 

Gotta have it.!!!!

 

Ideal when one has a DVD in motion enabled comand - sucks to use it in areas with lots of people on bycicles

I got it. I like it. Will get it again.

 

Its great the only downside is it won't let you get close enough to the car in front of you to keep people from diving into the gap, so in traffic its annoying but in light traffic its awesome. I will get it on my next car for sure.

 

does anyone know if the 2007 CLS's will be coming with Distronic Plus (similiar to the new W221 S Class? Would be an awesome feature to have in southern california.

 

Just like bluetooth, you can bet your bottom dollar that it wouldn't show up til at least 08'. It's that "S Class exclusivity" thing..

Had it in my e63 and have in cls55, love it, but still gota pay attention especially in oc traffic, the s class distronic plus is the best, i wish they had it avaialble in the e and cls as its better for stop and go cali traffic

I had it my XLR and it works like a charm. I tried locating a 06 SL with it and it's like looking for a needle in a haystack, it seems like there are less than 5 out of every 50 cars you look at for sale across the country. Good luck!
