I ordered the rear wing from GTuningwerks, prepainted and shipped it was $725. They did a great job, the color match to designo graphite 041 was perfect and it was well packaged for UPS shipping. My local dealer installed it, charging 1 hr labor @ $110. They had to sand the mounting surface and epoxy it in place. I could have had a local body shop install it for probably about half that amount but it would have taken another day, as the epoxy needs to set for several hours before driving, or so I was told.
I think Huper Optik has a clear film now for the front windshield

Very nice. Try taking pictures of your interior in low light to help with that contrast problem.

Back to the dealer tomorrow to remount the roof spoiler. I noticed the left side of the spoiler has started to separate from the window. The rest still seems firmly attached. Obviously the last thing I want is for that roof spoiler to go flying off into the road while I'm driving

We had a close relationship with our staff so it was more of a "funny and friendly" type of game. I know it sounds wierd...

No kidding!

Car is spending a night at the dealer to make sure whatever glue/epoxy they are using is properly set. Last time they sent me home in the afternoon with tape still on it

It is weird, at least the way you originally phrased it.

And what do you mean by "cleaning staff?" Did you live in a hotel or something? Or just an efrigginormous mansion?

What type of glue are they using? You should ask them. Maybe its a home depot type of glue.

Actually we modelled it after a villa in Italy (builder was Italian) but I'll still take that as a compliment!

Got the front bumper fixed today, no more holes! The guy did a fantastic job and is coming back next week to smooth out the clear coat transition, which is already very good. Cost was only $325 to plug and fill six holes and touch up a few other areas where there were paint defects. The Ohio dealer (North Olmsted MBZ) is kindly reimbursing me for it.

If you live in the Phoenix metro area and have minor scratches, dents, dings, paint chips, holes, etc then I'd highly recommend Arizona Mobile Touch-Up Inc. (office 480-931-5111 or 602-583-8690 mobile, ask for Freddy). They come to you at either home or work, so your car isn't stuck at a body shop for days, and they are very reasonable too. I'm going to have them do all the touch-up work on my Lexus SC430 before putting it up for sale.

Eric

One more compliment

Not only is the house sweet but your landscape architect and landscaper need to be given some serious accolades. I am trying to talk my wife into moving back and she did not believe me when i showed your house to her and said it was in PHX. SHe likes flowers, gardens, etc being from the Northwest. Your set up is truly amazing!

Thanks. We did the design ourselves, installation was by a local company. They did a great job but I had to twist their arms to install plants at the density that we wanted. More plants = more maintenance, so no surprise they were wanting to scale back.

If you like it during the day, it looks 10x better at night when it is painted in light and shadows

OK when I move down I will come over for dinner and a few glasses of Pinot Noir we can stroll through your garden together to view the lighting.....

Seriously it is some of the nicest landscaping i have seen, especially in PHX. How long ago was it planted? you have some serious and perfect growth on the walls!!

By the way that was totally a joke I am married with kids and not into strolling drunk with other dudes!

We finished building the house in mid 2002. Landscaping and pool were installed in 2003-2004. So you are only seeing two years of maturity -- should look awesome in another five!

I spend a considerable amount of time on ladders attaching and guiding vines and bougainvilleas to where I want them... and trimming them when they grow out of control.
