Yesterday it got a little warm here in socal and I got in my car and hit the a/c which turned up the fan all the way since the car was sitting in the sun. I'm one month new to this car so when it started blowing hard, i noticed a whistle from where I think was the far right dash vent area. i asked my friend who has a cls500 if this happens to him and he said it did as well. At some point we will meet up with our cars to compare but I wondered if anyone else experienced this.....

I wonder if this is something i need to get fixed or if they engineer a six figure car to whistle at the driver when the a/c is on max...

Im not sure if this will help, but it sounds like one of two things. First, check if all you vents are open, i know if they are closed the make a noise. Second, if your AC system was on MAX COOL, the aux. fan turns on for extra cooling, this thing is really loud and quite frightening the first time you hear it. Hope this helps

\i opened all the vents. it was quite loud, but the whistle is what bugs me.
