News from the Bay Area is that the 63s are coming as early as September. I'm first on list.

My local Merc salesman told me today that the 63 has been delay for another 2 years. Is this true or is he just pulling my leg ?

I guess the guy is trying to push me toward the 55 instead of the 63?
Not that I want the 63.....but that mean that the guys is either an idiot or he is not being truthful. Haaahhhh, an honest salesman

hey spin..55 is really nice, but can you imagine a blower on that 63? But the real kicker is the CLS65 AMG on deck. Should be about 9 months away...600 odd horses...maybe that's the one...How are you enjoying yours? I just got my Brabus wheels and I'm ordering some tyres for them as we speak. Can't wait to get them on.

Blower for the 63 would be just awesome. Expensive too. And it will tear up the 7sp transmission for sure with the extra torque from the FI conversion.

With a 55k, you can replace the supercharger pulley, ECU, exhaust headers, throttle body, air intake, and intercoolers (SLR style)... basically giving you the power of the SLR engine. And the 5sp will take it.

I don't want to sound negative about the 63 at all, it will be awesome. But upgrades will be limited by the capabilities of the transmission. Also fuel economy is apparently worse than then 55k.

Now the CLS65... if they make one it will probably be my next car!

yea, 600hp will probably get you in a whole lot of trouble, blowing through the 2nd and 3rd gear I'm pretty happy with the overall power and feel of the 55 has to offer. Wish it can be used more often... the traffic where we live really stinks! Can't even break 80mph without having to slow down or change lanes due granny driving on the fast lane. I took a drive down 101 south, towards gilroy and broke 144mph last week and man... was the car stable at that speed.

hey, remember to post some pictures once you get the wheels on. I'm still debating on wheels. Would love to have 20x11's in the rear, but a bit concern with ride comfort, due to all the pot holes and traffic in northern cali!

19s are perfect for our road conditions and it will give you the nice grip support that ultimately all of these upgrades are supposed to offer...I don't believe in doing these things just for "****s and giggles"...I love the look of the Brabus, they are 19s and monoblock v 2-piece...go to the brabus site and look under wheels, they put it on a silver CLS for you to look at...looks great from where I sit...I don't know how the tire monitors are going to handle the new wheels, maybe there's an adapter for that as well. I'll have to check with Brabus...good talking to ya...

Anyone up for coffee at Cocolat on Santana Row? My treat...start a Santana Row get together thread and let's do it...

Dealer salesmen are strange. I had one at Autobahn in Redwood City tell me that ordering an AMG car would take at least a year and a half, because they are soooooo rare. Right. That's why I was able to go to another dealer and order an SLK55 AMG for delivery in less than 3 months.

63's delayed for 2 years? Maybe he's confusing it with the next version of Windows. 63's are due to arrive in August, last I heard.

............can you confirm your source for the CLS65. I have had a deposit for 2 years now ever since I heard the first rumor. But I finally gave up and I'm in the market for an SL65, now I hear this. Info please.

............I think the problem is that there won't be a CLS65 in the first placet. If one were to be made it will have the 612Hp like the others.

One of the salesman at Schumacher here in Scottsdale told me a few months ago that a CLS65 was expected in 2008. How reliable his source is, I have no idea.

For much less coin than a CLS65 and several years earlier, I think I'll be pretty happy with a CLS55 on steroids, hopefully hitting over 600hp

I was just at the AMG factory a few weeks ago and was assured there will be no CLS65. It would be nice, I agree.

How about a turbocharged 6.3 (with the 5-speed AMG Tranny)?

Sounds great! Let's do it..the weather is perfect for it...Get some honeys (in other word, wives...hehehehehehe) and coffee is on me!

As for the 65...check this out..."Like the current AMG products bearing that nameplate, the CLS65 will offer over 600 horsepower from a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12. A five-speed automatic is the most likely transmission, but this could be the first V12 to use Mercedes' seven-speed unit. We'll see." I got it from here: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=105395 check it out, the intake vents on the front air damn is absolutely sick...

But you know what, the 55 is fine, check this video out...http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...83926027609376
and this one...http://privat.birklehof.org/~loeffle...ls55_amstv.wmv...

Man, the 55 and the M5 are absolutely going sideways...this is what your cars were designed to do...but don't try this at home kids...could be expensive.

Cheers, enjoy
