Question on first year reliability of the CLS...

I know that the E class suffered from a lot of first year production problems so this makes me a little wary of the CLS. But I've heard that the CLS share a lot of components from the e-class so does this mean that the CLS would suffer a lot less first year reliability issues and essentially be as reliable as a 06 E55? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

2006 is its second year so i don't expecgt there to be that many problems. YES it has alot of the tech that the e has so i don't see the problems that I had with my E.

It does suck to have to take your car in for service, I have been lucky I guess in the 3 years that I had the E the problems where not significant.

I guess right now all we can do is wait and see if anything comes up.

17,000 miles. Flawless. I love this car.

I had a 01 E55. It was one problem after another...

The 2006 CLS55 / CLS500's are first year CLS models

The only problem I have had was a warped wiper blade from the factory. Everything else is perfect.

it is the first year for the 55, but I could of sworn there was a 2005 cls500. I see unique whips and he worked on alot of 2005 cls500. I could be wrong so I may stand corrected.
