ECU reset

Hey Folks,

Saw a lot of posts in the e55 room with owners complaining about the dealers resetting their ecu's and causing poor performance. Anyone know if this also applies to the CLS55's?

thanks

I was wondering the same thing. I'm bringing the car to the stealer for the 3k mile check next week, with Renntech Package 5 to follow. Not sure if Renntech has had reprogramming issues or not... I know their programming is different than Kleemann.

All Kompressor

This is not a resetting of the adaptive programming ... this is a reflash of the ECU. It should be affecting all Kompressor vehicles.

Is it all in my head?

Well this could be all in my head but since the day i had the car serviced and the recall done, the car doesn't seem to pickup in any gear other than first or when i downshift the car into the optimal gear that seems like the only time it gets on it, before when i would be taking the on ramp to the freeway i would just punch that gas and move in now i'm constantly forced to downshift, for the car to even barely kick.

hmmm, i'm beginning to think mb does this to prevent possible breakdown of the tranny or engine? We probably have less torque after this reset. I dont know, not a machanic but something smells fishy. I think we need to dyno the car, before and after this service.
