cls 55 amg, clk 320
catalytic converter

will my car gain any HP if i remove the catalytic converter, Also will it make any difference with the noise it makes.

I'm sure it will be louder, HP not enough to feel anything, I'm sure it will trip sensors and cause you to go into the dealer. I wouldn't do it.

Modern catalytic converters are not that restrictive. Why make the car street illegal, trigger check engine lights, and void your warranty for a few HP ?

The AMG exhaust manifolds are anotyher story. Rather than mess with the cats, just replace the manifolds with some good aftermarket headers like Evo, Renntech etc. Kleemann makes a very nice set of headers but I think they require sacrificing the primary cats, and really need the full Kleemann exhaust system to work at their best.
