Please Help With Phone
OK. This is a true story. Honest.
We had some friends over last night and at 4 AM I found myself in the hot tub with 2 lovely ladies. Neither one was the wifeeee who had broke a nail, stubbed her toe and passed out!
In a drunken moment, I said OK y'all drop trou!! Every once in a while, us guys get what we ask for and yes I was alone in the hot tub with 2 naked lovelies.....
Well I gotta get a photo no????
That is where the problem started..... Slippery fingers on the cam phone and you guessed it... SPLASH!!!! No photos, no phone.
This afternoon I blow dried the phone but the display does not work.
It is a Motorola V600.
Where is the best place to get a replacement OR UPGRADE compatible with my cradle in the CLS????.

The Cingular folks says no warranty because the white tag under the battery is red. (DUH the damn phone went for a swim). Customer service at Cingular will discount a phone if I sign a contract but they say that they no longer offer a V600. I can likely find a V600 somewhere (perhaps even ebay) but if the replacement is better and compatible with my cradle, I would rather upgrade.

I use to repair pagers years ago. When someone brought a pager or phone in I had a glass of rubbing alcohol where I dropped them in. No battery just phone this helped get the water out of the phone. I immediately used a blow dryer on it then let it sit for 2 days under one of my lamps. Worked about 80% of the time.
Don't ask me how it worked but it worked, even my teacher was surprised. Now that was years ago and technology was much more simple then now.

Phone update
Thanks for the help.
The phone works but randomly turns off. Try to explain that to the wifeeeee during a 'discussion'. Nonetheless, I will probably have to replace it.
Any thoughts????

Have you thought of buying the MB Bluetooth dongle ? Then you could use any Bluetooth phone with full integration.
I think the dongle is around $375. You can get a nice new phone (I love my LG VX8500 i.e. 'chocolate' from Verizon) for $100-200. Still cheaper than a new MB Moto phone and about three generations more sophisticated too.
