Tire Pressure Sensor making me crazy!!!

I just mounted my new Vellanos and the orange tire pressure light is illuminated on the clock. How do I turn that off?? Its making me wacky!!!

Now before you jump on me... I have the Renntech lowering module sitting in front of me and the windows are being tinted this week!!

Car looks awesome, will be even better with tint & lowered!

Have you reset the pressure system? I don't believe the CLS55 has TPMS sensors. The computer does monitor tire rotational speed, and if detects one tire spinning faster than usual (meaning its diameter is too small) the warning goes off.

It is actually a good system to have and has saved me once -- I bent the inside rims of the passengers wheels (I have Vellanos too) and the rear tire was losing air. Didn't realize it until the warning went of!

The reset procedure is described in the manual. I think you start at the main display (digital speedometer), use the up and down arrows to get to the tire pressure system. Once you reset it with the tire pressures correct, the car monitors rotation speed at each wheel for a few minutes then activates the monitor.

I'd suggest keeping your inflation pressures pretty high -- like 40 front and 42 rear -- assuming you got 30 series tires front and 25 series rear. That should help protect you from bending the wheels.

If you do ever bend the wheels, they are easy to fix. Cost for me was $110 ea plus $25 for tire unmount/balanace/mount.
