Hi this is my first post so sorry if it comes out funny or something. I have an 06 cls55 and want to upgrade it in the performance department. This is going to be my car for a long time so money isnt an issue here. Who has the best performace packages? I am look for over 600 horses. Is that too much?? Any advice would be gratefully apreciated.

You best options will be Renntech (stage 5) and Kleemann (K4). Find an installer you trust and see what they recommend. Either should get you close to, or maybe beyond 600hp. Renntech seems to be a bit more conservative in their power gain claims, Kleemann tends to be a bit cheaper. Both kits include ECU reprogramming, boost increase via overdrive pulley, new exhaust headers, and enlarged throttle body. Renntech adds a (very overpriced) carbon fiber airbox, while Kleemann adds new cams and a new exhaust system. Renntech keeps the stock exhaust, which in my opinion has much nicer tips.
Renntech also has a stage 6 which includes SLR-type intercoolers. I've seen these installed on an SL55 and they looked business. The jump from stage 5 to 6 is very expensive but if you want maximum power it doesn't come cheap.
MKB looks to have a really nice program too, but doesn't seem to be common here in the USA at least at this point in time. Evosport is very reasonably priced but probably won't is unlikely to get you near 600HP.
My car has Renntech stage 5 and I did get basically get the power levels promised on my post-mod dyno. Dyno showed about 480rwhp, 540rwtq. The car is insanely fast, and very hard to launch because of all the torque at low rpms. It wasn't cheap but am very pleased with the results, and the shop which did the install -- DynoComp -- was exceptional.
Renntech also has a great lowering module, and it is among the cheapest too.

My car should be ready with Kleeman K4 tomorrow or the day after. They promised to get 640HP (+-5%) out of it. From what I've heard from other members and dealers, Kleeman is very reliable and most powerful power upgrade for your benz.

thanks for the advice guys i really appreciate it. Ive gone on the renntech site and it showed that with its most expensive upgrade 540-570 horses. Any one know about this MKB

I have K4 CLS55 that the fine folks over in Colorado worked on. Its a beast to be reckoned with. I can whole hearedly say it will blow almost anything away it comes in contact in. I love taking on the rice rockets and Bimmers.
