RennTech lowering module install

I bought the Renntech module and have been looking at it for a week now trying to work up the courage to install the thing, well..... Last night after survivor I decided to walk down to the garage and eyeball the install and see what I would be getting into. The carpet folded back easily, the foam came right off, the metal shield unbolted and there it was... the whole thing just waiting to be done! I jumped on it, working very methodically and triple checking my work. 2 hours later it was done. The Renntech module is nice because of the adjustablility. I lowered the front all the way but the back only an inch and a half. It looks nice and you can return it to factory settings with the turn of a dial, or a bypass. I have to than Kevin for the motivation to try this myself. I have always worked on my own vehicles, including the Ferrari but I was reluctant to delve into this deal due to the complexity of the car. It really was a breeze. I will post some pics as soon as the sun comes out.

What did you get, where did you get it, and how much did the modual cost you? I've been thinking hard about putting one on my car.

Did you have to splice any wires with this module?

6 wires needed to be spliced, 12 total solders to do because the module is between the airmatic and the wheels. Seriously, it was a piece of cake. You just have to be very patient and double check everything. I checked my solders, checked continuity, shrink wrapped and buttoned it back up.

Those are exactly the settings I'm using. Result is about 2" gap betweent the outer edge of the reverse lip and the wheel well on all four corners.

I actually ordered the painted markers from Evosport today. I just need to get the tail lights smoked dark and the grill done in black and I will be in business.

Amazing how much more menacing it looks with the
  • black center wheels
  • lowering module
  • window tinting

Personally I'm not one for spending money on cosmetic mods, but the transformation on yours almost has me considering it

Awesome looking car - congrats

Your CLS looks amazing!! Glad to hear that you are very satisfied with the RENNtech lowering module! It is by far the best module we have installed to this day.
