how is the sound in the 63's? any differant from the 55's?
could you compare it to any other luxury sedans...

 

Totally disappointed with it. I see Bose comes standard in the 63. I added an Infinity sub and it is tolerable. Still no comparison to the Rockford Fosgate I put in the Range (except the Infinity Bass is superior)

When are they goint to learn that folks who buy $100,000+ cars expect more from a stereo?????

anyone that has a "63" please comment on the quality of the audio.

 

If one wants appropriate high end stereo (e.g. Audison amps and Focal speakers), what was a $!00k car becomes a @110k car. That is what i installed in a cls 55 and what I will be installing in an about-to-be-delivered cls 63, and the sound quality is outstanding; but it is costly.

 

Its sounds as good as a high end FACTORY radio would sound.............works for me.

 

Mercedes doesnt use anymore Bose products except for Maybach. The CLS and E have premium sound standard now from HK Logic 7. The CLS55 and CLS63 come with the HK system.

 

Not pretty but functional. I don't have the schematic for the wiring. Was done by a little mom and pop shop in eastern KY before we moved to NC. Just a box with the sub on the inside and the amp on the outside. I can get the specs and model #s for you if you like.

 

I think the sound is good enough for me, was never really in to loud systems in car.

I have no complaints from the system at all.

Stereo seems to have more BASS than prior version in E55. To me needs more high end ,but not too shabby for stock. If anything some more tweet tweet . I will be activating sat radio tomorrow and let ya know how that is.. The engine is quiet so you really dont need too much volume..what a machine

 

Definitely can use more crisp highs. If one turns the Logic 7 off, it is a bit more crisp.

Satellite radio is much crispier, sounds good. Concierge service is cool, button push and a lady comes on and helps you with whatever you need. Plus listening to this smooth quiet engine is much more energizing than most music.

 

The sound is lacking in all the new mercedes for me except the SLK h/k system and the S550 h/k. I am extremely dissapointed in the CLS and E class. There is no clear midrange, seems to be muddy bass and lacking highs.

 

The S class has true 5.1 DVD-A sound. Its one of the best in the industry. Of course the only other true comparable systems are the LS460's Mark Levinson, and the Acura RL 5.1 Bose DVD-A system.

 

The stereo in my 63 is H/K 12 speaker with 7.1 . The satellite sounds much better than the fm tuner. It sounds very good after a few tweaks in command. Fader 3/4 to the rear bass down to 50% treb up 100%. Sounds decent
