Chrome trim pieces

Thoughts on clack cars with cashmere interior?
I am going to buy this CLS that has these added-on chrome trim pieces that go over the taillights, headlights, door handles and outside mirrors. I want to take them off after taking delivery of the car. Can I do it without damaging anything? How would I do it? Are they all adhesive backed?

MBWorld Fanatic!
Your entering new territory, very few people have added those items, and even less have removed them. I would assume they are just adhesive backing, use a hair dryer to heat up the molding and simply pry it off, without using a screwdiver
Some goo gone will remove the sticky stuff.

They are so bling-wanna-be's.
great deal in the car, but it's black/cashmere beige interior. I am not crazy about that interior but should i pass up a good car/great deal because of it?

Do as Kevin said. The heat gun will help. Be very careful with the pieces you remove because they tend to be very sharp. Those pieces use the tape as the emblems on your car. Good luck.

Thanks for all the replies. I know people who've debadged their cars with hair dryer and floss, etc... I am thinking that for $80K I'd better get the perfect car, or as close to it as I can. Not something I'd need to spend a day fixing and worrying about not scratching the paint. I'm thinking no-go.
