I Freaking Did It!!!

I pulled the trigger tonight. Vadim is the MANNNNN!!!

He made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I dropped of the W211 and did the HUGE upgrade. Only thing is I have a massive headache tonight so pix and all that will have to wait till the morning. But maaaaaaan. I am sooooo freaking happy.

Oh and it's priceless, my girl friend. As soon as she saw it she got tears in her eyes. She said "It's the most beautiful car she's ever seen".

It's a White CLS63 with PII, parktronic, and distronic (which I didn't care for but ..) glossy. Anyway, gotta go back to work so I can pay these payments.

Thanks you all for your responses .

You're going to love it.

Why don't you like distronic? No long distance driving?

yeah, it's like 3.5 miles from home to work. And outside of that, you have the socal traffic which never allows for cruise control much less distronic. It's a fun toy to play with to be sure but certainly not worth the $3500 price tag.

Other than that, I am loving the car. It has every option I wanted and its the exact color combo I was hoping to get. It all just worked out.

Sooooo, it seems the Nav does suck oh well. You still can't put in an actual building address (range only) or maybe I'm missing something.

Oh oh oh , before I forget. How do you guys like the blue tooth option? I want to go pick it up tomorrow. Any thoughts? Anyone wanna sell theirs What about the iPod integration option?

Oh and what is the deal on the Sirius ? I know I know toooo many questions.

Congratulations!! You are going to love it. Personally, I think Sirius sucks. Although the service is free for 6 months, the reception is terrible. I always get "Acquiring Signal" even when nothing is overhead. When driving under trees and powerlines, expect it to cut out.

Yes, I agree the reception for Sirius sucks bad! I thought maybe it was just mine because i also have it in my truck and almost never lose signal. Maybe there is a better antenna or some type of signal booster that can be had for the CLS....it's just unbearable, i get so frustrated with it i shut it off.

With the reception on my truck Sirius about ten times better, there has got to be something that can be done with the CLS.
I'm taking it back to the dealer the first chance i get.

Don't bother. Sirius in Mercedes loses signal if a pigeon flies over the car. After living it with it in my wife's car I skipped it in mine that I got six months later. Audio quality is pretty awful too when it does lock on a signal. Too many channels with too little bandwidth for music.

Best sound is MP3 player plugged in through aux or cd's. Even normal fm stations are better than the sat radio. On the nav you can do addresses poi's, it takes a bit of time but simply go to settings and mark everything you want to show on your map. Despite what you hear you can just plug your ipod into the aux jack and control it manually. It sounds great. I just put mine on shuffle and drive away. I think it is true however, sad sad sad the satellite radio sucks unless you listen to S P O R T S..which it is useful for
