First kill, pretty weak but fun
Last night coming up Jamboree (in Newport) this 760 Li chases me down and lets me know he wants to go. Pretty pimped out car with Tv Screens in the back seat and lowered, white ...
Anyway, I thought the guy was insane even thinking he could keep up. So we're at the red light, I was waiting for it to turn green and just before it did the guy floors it. So he got a jump on me off the line, I hit it a good 1/2 second late (in sports mode), I passed him so quickly that I think his jaw fell in his lap. At the next light he stayed a 1/2 car length behind and rolled off slowely. I don't know what he was thinking really, that car is just waaaay too huge to keep up.

Very nice.
A lot of BMW owners think they have these super fast cars 'cause they spend so much time racing rice'd out civics, accords, etc. I've embarrassed a couple here in Texas myself. They don't compare to our AMG's IMO.

Funny... I owned a 745 and took down a 500 series mercedes(non amg) uh I thought the BMW w/330hp was so fast then I purchased my E55, uh they are worlds apart. I will say this , the large bimmers are very comfy, aside from the fact it would disable itself and fail to start due to the new mouse control I drive , bs..The cls 63 would really blast a 760 , b l a s t.. I am starting to think the 63 faster than the 55...maybe , hmm they are very very close.

LOL, sounds like the same guy, yeah pretty big wheels, very dark tint so I couldn't see him cry when I spanked him. But I can't believe he didn't learn his lesson the first time around. I looked over the BMW boards to see if he'd be inquiring what the UFO was that put him to shame. So you're in Newport too? WHat color is you car?

I have a 760 also. I was wondering how bad I would get beat against a 55 or 63 car..
I did the amg challenge so I know its faster just wondering how much.. I have killed a lot of Mustangs, lightnings, even a C6 Vette (he spun a lot and never caught up)
I'm waiting for a CLS55 at an auction that is due to come up for auction, it is a Fed marshalls car. When I get that I will sell the 760.. I already have an ASP pulley.
YOu gotta admit the 760LI is pretty cool.. I like it, its just not fast enough.. Mine is lowered with K &N filters.

I don't have to admit anything. LOL, just kidding. I am sure it's a nice car, I'm just not a big fan of the looks or the waaaay oversized body.
But it sounds like you're moving in the right direction very soon. Believe me, you're going to be VERY happy.

Being a BMW owner, when I try to play with the new AMGs, I know I'm gonna get killed. But I think it's fun to play around with other people who know about their cars and other cars. I do think I have a fast car, but I know that the other car is faster. It's just in good fun, no real big ego thing, at least not for me.

Not real impressive but...
We were following one of the new Dodge Charger Hemis on a 2 lane road in NC. The driver saw the CLS and kept jumping on it. I knew he was because we heard a lot of noise and saw 2 puffs of smoke from the exaust each time. I told the wifee watch this....
Next time he jumped on it I did as well. We were up his a$$ faster than chihuaua greeting a poodle at the local dog park.

of course its slower, but believe me the 760i makes some amazing starts... Its probably because its too huge, so has no problem with traction
when i used to have an m3, the 760i always gave me a good run up to 100mph
