upshift indicator
I saw this on the ML63 forum, which was taken from the E63 forum. NOt sure how useful it is but ...

On another note. Does your "M" mode shift fast enough? What happens when you redline? When I redline, it won't shift for a second or so which basically means I redline even more which sucks. Needless to say I don't use the "M" mode anymore. I'l have dealer check it out to make sure it's working correctly.

okay I tried this today and it's actually pretty cool. It works pretty well and it lights up before redline which is perfect. It's definitely the best way to shift in M.

Dyno mode, is when you have it on the temp/speed screen (depending on what you have it set to) the hit the reset button three times. Go thru the menu hitting the up arrow button (not down arrow) then hit + to turn on dyno mode.

Dyno mode is found in the diagnostic screens of the dash. My guess is that it exists so that techs can run the car on the dyno without all of the electronic aids getting in the way.
In dyno mode it completely shuts down ABS and ESP allowing you to run your car on a chassis dyno without your car trying to apply the brakes.
If you do a search on this board you will find out how to get your car in dyno mode.
Just remember, this is a diagnostic mode and while some people drive in this mode (including me at the drag strip,) you have NO driver aids at all running on the car.
This can be quite dangerous and is not for the faint of heart.
Cheers!

Like Schiznick said before...Once you put your car in DYNO mode, it will stay there even though you turn the car off and back on. You have to manually go back in there and reverse the process to get out of DYNO mode...
