One of the features I enjoy the most about my CLS55 is its drive dynamic seats.
Am I correct that the new CLS63 discontinued those seats?

i placed my deposit for my 55 in oct. of 05 by the time the car went to build 03/06 they rejected drive dynamic said feature not available so they stopped them quite some time ago, I was just telling my brother this the other day it would of been nice to have them.

Drive Dynamic Seats
I did study the packages and none of them include drive dynamic seats; so, I presume that they are no longer available on the CLS version. Does anyone know why AMG discontinued such a fun feature?

they're cheap. they've also removed the passenger side mirror tilt down in reverse feature in my 07 model. they claimed it confused people. maybe mb thought the dynamic seats confused people too and thought that people might think their seats were posessed.

Are the drive dynamic seats still available on the CLS and E in other countries? So, in other words, was this just an MBUSA decision?
I don't understand the lowering mirror on reverse thing. How is that confusing? Just about every car out there now has it. And it can't be saving them much money, it's probably just a slightly different controller. Or maybe even just software?

Never mind, answered my own question. I went to configure a CLS63 at the UK site and sure enough you can choose Drive Dynamic seats.
So it's just that an MBUSA thing.
Nice.

Do they think we are morons in the US???
MB decisions for the US make no sense to me. You can order this... you CANNOT order that.....
MB's are high end cars in the US and we get NO choices. They are friggen TAXICABS in Europe and they can order them like they want......
I rarely use the drive dynamic seats but when I do, I love them and folks are impressed.
The mirror thing is a no brainer!!!!

I think the people on this board made up the .00000001% that actually like this feature.
They drove me crazy. The last thing I want when doing hard turns is to have my seats changing position. It was quite distracting to say the least.
Seemed like a gimmick to me but it is just my .02.
Cheers!

On a luxury car, I don't how important the dynamic part of it is. But I am very curious to see how it works. I guess I can always turn that part off if I don't like it.

2007 cls 63 030
Here is the real question to MB USA. My mom's 07 s65 that got delivered in September has the dynamic seats, and my 07 cls 63 delivered in November does not. Now why would they put a "sport" option in the super-sized luxury sedan and not in the "sporty 4 door coupe" cls. You would think that a car like the cls would be driven harder and have more track time therefore making good use of the seats, but I guess mbusa knows what they are doing. Seems that the cls would be the last model they pull the feature from, not the first.
