G-Timer - Great Deal

Okay so don't flame me for this, it is NOT my auction, in fact you can see me on the purchaser list. Unless this is a rip off (which it doesn't look like one) it's a great deal on the GT2 G-timer. I've been looking for one on ebay for about a week now and this just got listed. 14 more available if anyone is interested.

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEWEST-Escort-GT...em260072962895

Does anyone know how accurate this really is? And if it comes with any software at all?

It may be the actual device but I wouldn't put too much faith in their "warranty"

Yeah I don't think I have ever purchased a warranty for any device, ever.

Large box of them fell off a truck..

I think they are hot(stolen)... The no serial number story **** is Bull ****. That is why they say send it back to them for warranty work..

I bet they have a boat load of them..(literally)

Great price if retail is really $359.99.

Im gonna do some quick research.. Might buy one.

Seems too good to be true...no serial makes sense. But could it be a replica?

You mean a G-Tech? I wish you'd said something before I bought this one. The G-Tech seems a lot cooler. Damn it, now I have to have both. Jeez.

LOL that's usually my question.
It measures 0-60 using an accelerometer. Supposed to be pretty accurate ...
It also does other timed measurements, has memory, you can download to pc ... good for before after mod type measurements.

Finally got this thing in the car today. I really really like it. Despite the fact that there is no good place to put it (I placed it in the astray but it's kinda lame until I find a way to affix it.

Anyway, like I said in the other post I got

0-60 in 4.18 sec with ESP on , two people in the car and no power breaking. There was a ton of cops out tonight so tomorrow I'll post some better numbers. I really love the dsiplay and it's amazing how much info it gives you. Very impressed so far, I wish there was a better way to mount it but Im sure I'll thing of something soon.

yeah I did. The package was opened and re-shrinked very poorly but everything looked new and works fine. I'll tell you this, this device is easily worth the MSRP of $279 or whatever they say it costs.

i just bought one off ebay. they have good feedback and also sell other escort/radar products. it seems like it may not be too sketchy. i know cosco requires a lot of companies to package products with different SKU numbers. they do this because the manufacturer cant sell the same product to retailers at different prices. cosco's excellent return policy has something to do with this policy as well. thats what a friend of mine told me anyway. im probably not explaining it right but worst case scenario is im out $100. best case scenario, I get a g-timer. im giving it a shot.

It's a pretty sweet toy huh? I love mine, I have it wedged between the power chord and the side of the ashtray, would be nice to mount it somehwere nice or fasten it but for now it workds well.

Well, I just keep mine in the back seat 'glove box'. However, it has suction cups to mount to the windshield to just use as you need it. I think they suggest that, and for accuracy just follow that setup. Thanks for the FYI on it, it is a great toy. I cant wait to stick it on my bike...boat...golf cart...kids via battery back...

Well then let me just stop you before you buy it. The G-Timer is pretty well wired into the Cigarette lighter plug. It in fact has a couple of operational buttons on the actual power plug itself so if you somehow rewire it it would be a bit more involved than you think. Check their accessory list for a possible solution.
