MBUSA STAR bulletin for E63 engine...
DTB P-B-05.20/20 JAN07 Sporadically occurring noise on engine start in area of the chain drive; Models 209.477, 211.077, and 219.377 – M156 engine (E63 AMG) up to serial # 60 001177.
When starting a warm engine, this may be due to the intake camshaft adjusters. To remedy both intake camshafts and intake camshaft adjusters will be replaced.

164.177 ML63, 209.477 CLK63, 211.077 E63 AMG, and 219.377 CLS63 up to VIN 001177, have your dealer check your VIN with VMI to confirm. Nothing released for the 251 R63 therefore I am assuming the engines installed in these vehicles are past this VIN range.
