Using the car to jumpstart a truck

Okay so tomorrow morning I am going to use my car to jump start my truck. I remeber in my W211 there was some very special instructions about how to do this with the battery being very sensative ... Any idea if there is more to it than Pos to Pos, negative to truck chasis, start my car, wait a few and start the truck.
I know this sounds kinda ghey worrying about how to jump a truck at my age but the last thing I want is frying up some COMAND crap on my car trying to jumpstart a truck .

Thanks

I agree go to Costco and get one of those $50 jumper/air compressors.
But if you don't want to you have it right on the pos to pos and negative to chasis. Also remove the ground first after your done.

+1, or use your AAA Card or your neighbors car.

I actually bought a 2A trickle charger for my boat (It's palm sized and has aligator clips on the red/black leads and plugs into the outlet), but comes in handy for everything. It'll max out your battery overnight. It was about $30 from Battery Plus.

First off AAA is a joke. I hate using them.
I went and bought a black & decker simple-start. Charged it over night, plugged it into the cig lighter socket for 15 minutes and it charged up enough for a nice and crisp start. This thing is awesome btw. It can also charge your accessories and it has a small built in LED light for ... It is also small enough that I don't mind keeping it in the car.
