That might have worked but if you strip those heads your really screwed, be sure to use the right tool. Sorry can't help you on the screws, i just used what was in my misc. drawer. Use your best judgement on length, pitch shouldn't matter as long as it screws in.

ok so I now have one side almost done. The problem I am having now is that when I start towquing down it pops the top side out. I think this is because of the angle and the lack of a washer inside. Man am I tired!!! This is a lot of work for the c55 wheel as it is solid plastic and no fiberglass. Time for bed! The things I do to not study for the bar!

Yeah I did mine I guess about that. It went fine but it was a ***** and a half. It took me 6 hours! I think this is because the stupid dremel I got only had sandpaper rolls to cut the media.

Hi Chaps. Only just joined this forum. Thanks for the guide Kevin. I was hoping to fit the whole E63 wheel to an 06 E55. Anyone know if its possible?

Your welcome, I'm sure it will work, the center hub is the same, and the electronics are also the same for the shifters.

is there no risk that the airbag could go off even if the battery is disconnected?

I don't see how, the airbag is set off from sensors in the car upon impact. When you cut power it can't go off.
