Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket dash trim for the CLS. I have the wood grain with black leather and I think I want to have the dark marble looking dash instead. Can you just buy it from the dealer or are there websites that have them?

They make carbon fiber aftermarket, so you have the flat non gloss wood and you want the high gloss right? It would be costly but Im sure you can buy all the glossy wood parts and have them installed.

I know a guy who has a black on black K4 with birdseye maple. NO IDEA how he got it, but he's a very well connected lawyer.

It is possible.

I guess its called maple...I saw it once and I thought it would look a lot better with the black interior. I called the dealer and they said that it would be pretty expensive to buy it from them and have it installed.

Any dash kit for a Mercedes is always freaking expensive. If is Carbon Fiber or some sort of Maple or Gloss color every company out there is charging like 4-6 grand I called Brabus to get a price on CF dash kit they told me 6500.00 and 3 to 4 weeks. Good luck let me know if you find anything.

6 grand!? We have the MP Design kit for $2,699. I know quite a few forums members here got it from us and are very happy with it.

I don't have a picture of it installed yet. I wish some people on the forum would post one. I think about 10 people here got the kit from us. The kit actually use to be cheaper, about 600$ less. But the price recently went up. I cannot say for sure, but some people told me MP design makes all CF fits, Brabus, Carlsson etc... I know they also make some OEM kits. So the quality cannot be any better.

Yep I got one from Neal. Installed it a few days ago. Gotta say it is very very nice. Unfortunately I can't take a picture right now as the car is in a shop,,finishing the custom sound install. Will do as soon as it's out.

As far as the black piono trim,,I found out before,,you can special order it from the dealer, will run you like 6-8K. Just get the CF,, cheaper and nicer IMO.

The last car that I owned (a very long time ago) that had real wood was W124. Those were the days...

I'd be pretty shocked if Benz was using "imitation" plastic wood on their interiors, the last news I read on some sort of interior material pullback was the fact that benz was no longer "matching" sets of wood for the interior, as in using pieces from the same tree that had the same grain (talk about quality workmanship).

As for a Bentley not having real wood............THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR BUYING A VEEDUB!!!

Sorry man had to do it to you....

This is like finding out there is no Santa Claus!! How can they advertise wood grain...what they should say is that they have synthetic wood grain. That really sucks! I think I will go home and cry on my pillow now!

Do you think that a paint shop could actually paint the dash to look like the black piano? I am sure they can shoot some high gloss black paint on it.

Any thoughts on that?

Well now that you put it that way. I wasnt thinking of a can paint job, more on the lines of a shop taking it apart, and really doing a nice paint job. Like they would paint a car. I think it wouldnt look bad at all. But then again I may be
