Hard shifting in "C" mode

I have about 3,000 miles on my CLS63 and noticed I'm getting some hard shifting between gears when it's in "C" mode. It occurs in upshifting and downshifting. When it does it you can feel an abrupt bang in the transmission. Anyone else have this issue?

There's a transmission update available. I had similar symptoms. Updated fixed it.

7 speed

I experienced the same problem when I test drove a CLS500 when they first came out. Was very disappointed till I drove the 5 speed in the AMG. Almost bought a B**. My understanding is that there is a fix as posted above.

I am just trying to figure out what three letter word starts with a "B" hat was censored. Strange.

Do you know appproximately when the update was published; I just had my breakin service at MB of SF and they didn't mention it, although I complained about the same problem. BTW it has now eased off.

Downshifting

Also, I found downshifting with the gearshift ("clicking" it to the left) seems to be much faster than just waiting for an automatic down shift as the rpms decline. (The Manual cautions against doing that during the break-in period, but if you have passed that time/mileage period (or don't believe in it), then click away.) I think that is faster than the paddles anyway.
