CLS 55 AMG w/ASP Track results

Not Good!!

My best of the day was 12.68 at 109 mph.

Traction was an issue but I am having a bigger problem with the heat exhanger. The dealer just replaced the intercooler pump and it the SC does not shut off but the IAT's were in the 149+ degree f by the end of the track. I think that explains the low mph. The ASP pulley could be the issue also, not sure yet.

Also, the heat exchanger is only luke warm directly after the run. I think I have an air lock or another weak pump. Those *******s at the dealership may not have replaced the pump and just upped the s/c cut off temp. I will look to see if the pump is new.

Also, to make the day worse, It was the day of the Nashville corvette club to come to the track.

A C6 Zo6 wanted to run against me so we did, he was stock with 18" drag radials and ran a 11.97 at 122. He was a student of Rangers techniques and said he had been practicing Rangers moves at home.

I only got 3-4 runs in and then it started snowing and they shut down the track. Every time I changed my settings somehow so I could not get my launch down or anything.
Run1 12.6 at 109 2.0 60ft straight off of the street just floored it in sport mode
Run2 14xxx, lowered tire pressure 27, espoff smoked them killed the run
Run 3 12.9 at 105 2.2 60 trac on tire pressure at 27(no help)Comfort mode trans
Run 4 Tire pressure back up against Z06 13.03 at 108mph, 2.2 60ft sport mode

Snowed out! Time to go home.

I guess another testament of the Z06.

What is this "Rangers" techniques?? I know of Ranger's 1/4 times, but he's such a cult figure that created a "technique" now??? Is this a SouthEast thing?

Forgive my ignorance.

I think Ranger is an Icon over at Corvette world(if that exists). He has a video on the internet showing his burnout technique, launch tech. and so on, according to the Z06 guy.

Funny...

Kinda like our Derekfsu I guess you could say

The Z06 is fast as hell. But never be ashamed of the CLS. 4 doors, comfortable and great looking. Once you get your "ranger" dialed in, you will be even closer to the vette. Good luck.
