2006 CLS55 value?
Seems like a good price to me. Thoughts?
I can offer some insight to this thread becuase my wife&I are looking to close on a C.P.O. Black '06 CLS55 w 9.5k miles this week.
Optional Features:
Alcantara Headliner Charcoal
319 Lighting Package
326 Premium Package
Burl Walnut Wood Trim
Std 19" AMG 5-Spoke Design Wheels
They were asking $83995,as of yesterday we were at $79,750.Mind you this car has not visible signs of abuse,no dings, curb rash, dents, swirl marks, etc
Trade in was $77500,dealer retail was $85500 on KBB.com(n.a.d.a. was very similiar)
Typical mileage for this car is 18,000,so the car in question is a bit higher, but not enough to warrant a $10k loss.
Vadim would probably be the expert on this topic, but I hope I could help a lil bit...
Hows the Busa runnin?
If I were you, I'd offer the dealer what I got, unless the market as a whole has crept UP in the last 3 months.
Only to show that the 55's are better than the 63's
For WaynE's friend, I wouldn't buy a car with 30K miles, doesn't matter the cost. Although the car could have been taken delivery very early in 2005. Still, spend more for a less mileage car is my take on it.
good luck.

Good luck with your upcoming CLS55 purchase. I agonized over CLS vs. E when I bought my 06 and ended up choosing E. Wouldn't mind having one of each!
BTW, my car also has keyless and park
Good luck.
6percent is 4200.. plus the warranty 2k.. The auction does not figure for each of these.
Auction price would have to be 63k to be equal. Also, I watched that 66k cls55 run through it had Unibody frame damage and was announced, that is the only reason it went that cheap.
This is a good deal if the car really does not have any story.
Sometimes if the dealer/distributor knows that they will be forced to take it back as a lemon, they make an offer to the owner BEFORE the owner seeks protection under the lemon laws -- like a deep discount on a replacement car and take the lemon car back in trade. The owner will sometimes take the offer and is happy.
The dealers do this because they don't want the car reported as a lemon on carfax, because any buyer would want a HUGE discount on a lemon return.
So, watch out.
