Ok I Know Everyone Has Been Waiting For This.

I Finally took my brothers (SLANG500) CLS 63 to the good guys over there @ Powerchip and Stealth Auto . I finally got his car chipped for him (as promised). Oh Boy, is this thing ****in fast. Ive been contemplating on going overthere with his car right after I got mine put in. But busy schedule prevented me from making the hike up to L.A.
Anyways, I was lucky enough to sit in dead traffic for 2 hours on the way home I couldnt punch it the whole time. I was pissed.

The whole way to LA, it was smooth sailing. no traffic. I really abused the car pretty bad, the whole way up there, Since I dont drive this thing everyday, I just wanted to get an idea of how fast this thing is without a chip, so that way, I can make a good comparison, before and after.

When I got close to home, I saw a pretty empty street, I stopped completely, turned traction control off, then of course WOT, The car was burning out and sliding until I hit about 65 MPH I dont remember it doing that before You can DEFINITELY feel the difference. You can feel the difference even more than you can feel it in My car And in My car, it made a huge difference.

I flipped a *****, did the same thing, but with traction control on this time, and I got to 100 REAL FAST, I recommend this to every 63 owner, The torque is AMAZING. This POWERCHIP is worth every penny, and then some.

He hasnt driven it yet, but when he does, Im sure he will be pretty pleased

CLS 63 Owners, I know you all have money , So I recommend you all get one. And if Im wrong, I do believe they have a 14 day money back guarantee

Thats all Ive got, Ill let him chime in if he wants to, after he picks up his car in a little bit.

I agree.

For the CLS, its around 1900. PM if you want, I can point you to the right direction.

I would say around 10-15hp... Porsche's are tuned fairly aggressive from the factory, especially the non-turbo models, so there isn't too much power to gain. On the other hand, the Turbo models gain around 60-80hp.

When I see the before and after dyno results, then I will believe it. Without it, it's all subjective.

Dont you see my dyno up top. Same motor.
I have 0 vested in Powerchip or StealthAuto, Im just giving you fellow 63 owners a heads up on how much this Powerchip can improve your performance, based on my experience now with two different cars

Im very impressed. The torque feels more like a 55 does now (and yes, I have driven a 55 also). The low end torque is really there now. It just wants to burn out on take off. . The traction control is pissed off . I raced my bro yesterday on the way home to about 100 and at about 50 he started pulling pretty hard.
I notice you have the 030 package, which tells me that performance is pretty important to you. I recommend you try this powerchip, and if Im wrong, let the bashing begin.

If you are happy with it, given the price you paid that's fine for you.

But a real test is a before and after dyno in a 2007 cls63, period. Just because its the same motor doesn't mean its the same results.

I have a Ferrari and I see all of these similar claims about powerchips for that car from the manufacturer. Yet they never post a before after dyno printout. Frankly, I think its all snake oil.

I actually talked to them specifically about your OLD ferrari, the 360, and they said they were only able to get 8-10 horsepower out of them @ the most. So for your Ferrari, it would not make sense. However, for the 63 motors, it makes a considerable difference, which is why it costs as much as it does. Show me one bolt on for the 63 motor, thats under 2 grand, that has these types of gains............................I'm still waiting....Exactly.

I posted this thread because I was so excited to hook my brothers car up with the Powerchip, and to let all of you know what my honest opinion is. I didnt post it to have a cheap Ferrari owner telling me that what I said is snake oil.

Now now.. We can't have the other tuners seeing where the a/f's are, they may take some tips on ways to make more power safely. All off the customers who've purchased Powerchip's software and dyno'd their car(s) know the a/f's are totally safe.

Lol - it's not about other tuners seeing where the a/f's are - it's peace of mind for the public. Can I observe one of my buddy's cars being dyno'd at powerchip with A/Fs? I think I've picked up enough to know what's safe and what's not. Again, I don't see what the big deal is since you've shown them before.

+1

Your reason for not showing the a/f ratio sounds shady to me. Anyone with half a brain would know that other tuning companies have tried all combinations and settings with ecu programs, its not like you're letting the cat out of the bag by showing what the a/f ratio is on a car you've tuned. I hate jumping to conclusions so I'll let anyone reading this come to their own.

You're welcome to swing by and see one of your buddies be tuned, do you have one in mind? Or you can simply dyno your buddy's car or hookup a wideband.

Another option would be to bring your CLS55/CLS63 by and we can tune it.

These gains for the 63 engine are quite suprising and significant. Its great to see these cars getting mods and its even better to see that they respond well to them. I'm sure that with ECU, headers, air filters, and exhaust that the 63's will be real monsters and can compete with some modded 55's.
