Nice car w/ a lot of mods. Ahhh, only in S Cal (where folks spend more $$ on mods than they may be able to buy the real thing for!! But I do love Laguna Beach, La Jolla, W LA, which has come of the probably the finest cars in the US, EXCEPT for S Florida). Esp like those shark fin fenders!

2007 cls 63 030
It is clearly not a 63 since it redlines at 6200 RPM not 7200. As for 500, 550 or 55 not sure about the rev limiter but should be easy to tell based on who redlines where. Either way the car blows. I would take the black amg 030 next to it in a heart beat over the white one, but then again, that is why I bought what I bought.

Yeah Buddy, you have taste, good taste.
I like my car too but I do respect the work Platinum does, little to BLING for my old ***. I like stealth, would rather have a car that nobody thinks is fast and then BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Its funny reading some of these posts most places a car tops out at 65 70 legally so going 200 mph in your 63 is not really a big deal or going 0-60 in 4. what ever is not a big deal either I believe that cars are a work of art and a extention of who you are you may like one thing and someone else may not like it but its you. As for a waste of money I don't think so because the guy that owns this car also own about 10 other including a Lambo LP640 so if he want to go fast he can just hop in that. I personally bought a CLS 550 and didn't see a point is spending a extra 20,000 for 100 hp I would have rather spent the money on moding my car to my likings and besides I also have a fleet of other cars that I can go fast in.

My other cars are d o g s ..
We all purchase for different reasons, I need hp and torque more than a set of rims and fins. I still LOVE the way it looks just I would choose engine first, but yeah I suppose I purchased a CLS because of body style, it stands out better thanmost cars, IMO. I can only have one fast car so I choose one with four doors. How do you know so much about the owner of this car? I never said it was a waste I was curious as to the cost so I could perhaps do some tweaks to the glass, body etc.
The speed of the 63 is certainly worth the extra cash to me, but I respect the fact that you find it unecessary and foolhardy.

The car is very nice, i saw it at platinum about a month ago and couldn't believe what i saw. It has more detailed pieces than you can see, like the way the bumbers are painted and the spoilers. He does have some crazy looking piece under the hood thats yellow and carbon fiber, i have no idea what it is, if you guys wanna see cool detailed pics of the car then go to platinums new site and you'll find the car under the benz gallery. As far as the other white one on this forum that platinum did looks kinda week to me the wheels are funny and the little piece of the taillight thats tinted looks kinda gay? sorry?
Anyway those guys at platinum are dope and are on top of their game right now, so there's no reason to talk **** unless someone can come up with some better ****...
Love the car and love the mods except for the wheels but i guess it kinda goes with the theme...........

The front looks nice but the rest of the car doesn't. IMO You could spend all the money u want on modifying your car but that doesn't mean it'll look nice. It has to be well put together so the lines of the car flow nicely, but most new mercedes owners dont realize that and they end up messing thier car up or giving it that pimp my ride look. I would take the 030 next to it in a heart beat.

I saw a recent White CLS in Rancho Cucamongs (Victoria Gardens), CA. It was modded out as well. It was the kit with the 4 wierd shape exhaust in the rear (there like oval but sideways). Anyone seen this one before?

Money can buy you almost anything in life, but taste isn't one of them. This guy is clueless, his attention to detail means nothing to me. Maybe he would be better off getting a Nissan Skyline and going to work on that, but chopping up the CLS and coming up with that as his grand vision is truly sad. I'm in the business of driving cars not looking at them, so I'll stick with the real deal, the AMG....not a riced out 550.

With reference to the Lorinser fenders...I have a friend of mine who has a CLS and got original Mercedes steel customized fenders from NR Automobile Accessories. They do them for a few different Mercedes. I bought wheels from them for my CLK in the past. They are in SoCal...I think Sherman Oaks....website is nrauto.com. Hope that helps!
