Rock Chip Protector Recall
Understand there is a recall on the plastic rock protector near the rear door of the CLS. The plastic covering on my 55 has really yellowed and is unsightly next to the Alabaster white. Does anyone have the recall bulletin number.

Partly because I removed them myself, cause they were ugly, but
I have to admit it was the wrong move, I do see slight nicks from rocks kicking up. Thanks for the heads up, sorry I don't have a recall #.

I took my off about two months ago cause it was turning yellow, buts its cool cause it looks way better and i haven't had any problems with rock chips...

Put it this way, when looking at you car from the front, bend down and you will notice a slight arch in front of the rear wheels... that part gets hit bad and thats why they applied it to that area, BUt if you think about it, front of the car also gets hit hard on motorway driving

When the CLS was released over 2 yrs ago, a lot of guys were ripping off the protective film, and later regretted it. Mercedes didn't apply the film for the fun of it lol, but of course some people think they know better....
