Satellite radio not acquiring signal!

Anyone have any issues with factory installed satellite radio?

Most of the time it works fine but I'd say once/week, I get in the car and it gets stuck on "acquiring signal". I turn the radio on/off. I turn the car on/off. I drive around. It's cloudy.. it's sunny.. no rhyme or reason. I drove home one day from work over 30 miles and it never acquired a signal.

Anyone experience this? I'd bring it into the dealer but I can't reproduce it on demand.

You should probably call SIRUS and tell them and sometimes they will try to relink your car. I had the same problem and they relinked my car is what they told me and it's been fine ever since. Inless you drive under somthing and it cuts out for a min.

Sirius has reception issues anyway, Sats are not geostationary that makes problems intermittent. That sounds bad "no signal for 30 miles", I would call Sirius first. On mine, if a leaf falls off a tree and passes within one foot of my antenna it will clip out, lock up, search, acquire and play. Hard to say who is at fault.

on certain days, its hard to acquire, but 30 miles sounds insane.
