Thumbs up New (Never Titled) CLS55 030 Stage 5 Renntech

Just test drove the one this weekend at MB in Sugar Land. I was test driving the SL65 and decided I wanted to see the difference in the 030 Stage 5 Renntech VS my Stock non 030 CLS55.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this car b/c I'll be more then happy to give you any information you need. It truly is a beautiful beast but so is that SL65.

I'd love to hear more, as I'm going to do any mods to my new (to me) CLS55 030 ASAP so I can enjoy them as long as possible...can you post for us all or PM me?

I drove an 06 SL65 and loved the power, but the car felt too big, so I passed on it. If I could get that power into my CLS, well, wow, that would be swell

Yes, definitely give us some details on comparisons (of all 3 cars), please!

BTW, check your e-mail... I've sent some questions to you. Thanks.

For Details on this car, please call CF Ebelt at MB of Sugar Land. I bought my CLS55 from him and he is easy to deal, he is the internet manager and is used to providing information on cars.

Also, I could feel the difference between the 030 and non 030. Feels like a stiffer ride with a little more road feel. Looking back it would be a nice option to have.

Stage 5 renntech, pretty awesome to say the least. More power on the high end for passing power with a louder exaust note that was just music to the ears! Worth 20+K, personally it would be hard for me to spend that much money on mods, when that would put me in the seat of a preowned SL65. I've heard stage 2 is the most bang for the buck and think that's what i'm going to do and leave it at that.

I almost purchased that car rom CF a while back. It was the owner's and such was never tilted. If you want to lease the car there will be an issue becuase even though it is "new", i is an 06 and all leasing comanies already consider the car to be used. I was able to lease a 63 030 for less $. What is he asking for it now? I think he accepted an offer from for $94 but he couldnt come up with a reasonable rate.

I called and they wanted 102K. You can get an 06 CL65 with low miles for that price. Good luck selling the car. Maybe someone who doesn't know anything will bite but I doubt it. For 85K I would consider it. It's a shame because the MSRP of an 030 is usually over 100K then add the Renntech staage 5 for 17K and the car becomes way too expensive for what it's worth. Just my opinion.

On average, we see just 500 hp and 520 lbs ft on the rear wheel using 91 octane (Union 76)

Hey Adam,

What do you typically see for stock #'s? HP and Torque?

We seen higher dyno numbers on 03' and 04' 55 Kompressors engine.

On average, about 400 hp - 440 hp and 460 lbs - 480 lbs.

Someone should call Rennetch out on this! It's not as if were talkin about +/- 10-20 HP.

Actually I believe they mean rear wheel horsepower. 500HP at the rear wheels is like 625 at the engine. This is what Renntech is advertising isn't it?
