Looking at the wheel it does appear to be plug and play. I had to modify my wheel to fit the 63 paddles. I only had to modify the fitment of the paddle, not the wiring. Since this already has the paddles and they obviously fit the wheel, you should just be able to use your existing airbag and install without a issue. Of course I'm no expert, and I'm basing this on what it looks like. The auction mentions it fits the CLS55 so if you did have a problem he should return it.

Looks MUCH better than the std 55 wheel by far. However, I'm not much for "futzing" round w/ electricals/mechanicals w/ the car. IF it really were true plug and play, I'm a buyer. If any of you gents wind up buying and installing it, then POST-install, any comments re how easy or tough it was will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

well based on what kevin said it should be plug and play. an e63 owner slapped it right in as well.and it supposedly uses the same air bag.
i definately want to get it. i find the stock 55 wheel to be too thin. im gonna ask around to see if i can get a better price before i order from this place. seems to be in the UK.
if anyone knows of another place to o rder from please post here!

im sure the grip is thicker than the 55 stock wheel. not sure if its thicker than the 63. ive noticed that the 63 stock wheel is thicker than the 55's.

Renntech has a steering wheel upgrade almost exactly like the one that comes with the 030 package. It's alot more $$ and you get to keep the original.
This is a good price.
