CLS55 vs. NSX

Ok, how bad would the 55 smoke 2005 NSX?

Insanely bad. The NSX would have no chance in any gear at any speed. It has half the power, less than half the torque, making any weight advantages null and void.

CLS500
How would it compare to the CLS500, or 550? Do you think that would be a closer run?

500 would lose, similar power and the heavy weight advantage going to the NSX, and the 550 would be an interesting race, too close to call.

I dropped an 05 NSX in my daily driver 04 audi s4 a couple of months back on the highway. Started at about 60 and clearly pulled about five cars on him by the time I got off it at 125 or so. I must also say that there was a vette that handled both of us. It was a C5 not a Z06 but somewhat modded, at least exhaust that I know for sure so probably more under the hood. Can only imagine how bad my 63 would smoke that poor nsx

NSX is certainly no drag car. Handles like a dream though. You can thank Aryton for that.

Is this a serious question? We're comparing a supercharged 5.5L V8 w/500hp vs a naturally aspired 3.2L V6 w/ 290hp. On a twisty mountain road, the outcome would be very different though...

Are you guys talking about straight line speed line drag racing? Or are you asking about road course kind a race? The NSX can hold it's own on road courses. Not a big fan of drag racing so I don't have any idea I'm sure straight line speed the MB will win.

BTW a bit out of topic here......CH that is one bad @$$ clip of Halo 3 on your sig. Makes me want to buy an XBOX.

Is this a serious question? The CLS550 or CLS AMG's would drop the NSX into oblivion.

the 55 would destroy the NSX, I think the 550 and NSX would be a close one.....but then again, this is a wierd question....
