Well to me it makes it more attractive, here's why:
- I assume she has enough money to buy any car she wants
- Also assuming that she bought the car only because of it's looks and some dude in her life made her get the 63 (on the count of her not knowing ...)
- And I used to have a huge crush on her before she went and got old (still hot but not crush-worthy)
So yeah, it makes it even better for me. Heh heh, maybe now I'll keep it.

btw, that gives me an idea for a great website. It would list what each celebrity drives. I don't know how you'd get that info but ...
Then you could get car companies to advertise ... just a thought for some of your budding entrepreneurs (damn that's a hard word to spell)

I don't see what's so funny about a 144 month lease on a 300K car.....That's like saying you'd go buy a 300k home and say "Nope, I don't want the 30 year plan.....give me a 5 year." Seeing as how they are priced as much as homes, why not finance one accordingly.

you are kidding, right? although i can't say for certain that home prices will appreciate, historically they have appreciated over time(esp if they're sitting on valuable land). with rare exception, cars lose money over time...just a matter of time and how much(esp if inflation is factored in). i do agree that in general, more people are leasing than they should be...ie, they don't have write-offs and they're not investing the excess pymt/savings - they're just trying to manage payments to get the maximum car they can stretch for. not saying it's wrong, but i did that when i was in my 20's and looking back...it wasn't such a smart thing to do.

You're also forgetting to mention that you're paying interest for every single one of those 144 months, meaning you'll end up spending twice the car's MSRP and never once hold the pink slip. Its the most hood-rich thing I've heard of to date.

Are you serious? You don't own anything when you lease. You still have a buyout at the end of the lease term.
You cannot compare buying a house to leasing a car that will lose value (and that you will still have to buy out at the end of the lease term). Spending 300k on PURCHASING real estate vs leasing a Lambo for 300k are two very different things.
We are talking about 12 freakin years, IF YOU HAVE TO LEASE A LAMBO FOR 12 YEARS YOU CANNOT AFFORD IT END OF STORY!
Personally the way I see it, if you can't pay cash for a car why get it? I know I am in the minority since 90% of the people on here lease, its just a different school of thought. The feeling of security one has from owning something free and clear vs leasing/renting something is probably much different. For me I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I would have a ridiculous payment on something that I might not even own after 12 years of paying that payment.

yea? what are the chances that you'll keep the car for 144 months? ever thought how your credit will be, if you end the lease early? you think someone will assume your 144m lease?
