There are a couple of great ride in OC.
We can either do a nice 2-3 hour ride on Ortega to near the lake.
Or we can do a full day ride to Palomar and really put your skills to test on the twisties. Amazing ride. I also have a camera mounted on the bike so we can record the whole thing pretty much. Lemme know. I am game almost any weekend. Even most weekdays.
I also have another 2-3 hour ride that I do to Dana point and back through some beach cities. pretty slow ride but scenic.
Oh and Juicee63, I won't be responsible for your high speed aspirations getting you killed on a bike. If you get anywhere nearly as addicted to the bike as you did to the dragstrip then you'll be in some serious trouble.

Nice looking bike. Hope this isn't your first liter bike.
Here's my old R1 and the new replacement.
We got a group of guys that ride every weekend down here in Orange County if you want to come out sometime. We'll be at Angeles Crest this weekend and Willow Springs end of the month.

We are leaving from Orange County sunday maybe 7am and trailering the bikes up...I have a new suit I want to break in. It's going to be real tough breaking it in by this weekend....so I'm gonna take it easy. PM me and we can work something out.

I have a feeling the R1 may make the 63 seem a bit slow!!
Enjoy the bike! I have a leaning towards Ducati's myself......

We did Mulholland a couple weeks back. I don't like it that much. Pretty choppy, and watch the street it's pretty littered with debris. We'll have to hook up sometime.

Trailering the bikes? Why not ride them up? Too much riding I guess ?
Any room on your trailer for +1?

It's going to be hot, I'm don't feel like riding up an hour in the heat, then to ride more. My buddy doesn't want to ride his tires out...he's got 1500 miles and they are close to toast. I told him he'd better take it easy or that last thing he's going to have to worry about is tires lol. Unfortunately his trailor is a 2 bikes setup.

2 different beasts. Was happy with both...but the torque band on the 1098 makes the bike alot more fun to ride. My old R1 was putting out over 200 crank hp when it was all tuned. It was absolutely insane. But for the cliff's notes version, I love the Ducati more.
