Disclaimer- not hating on the 63 at all. It's a great car.

Diablo.

I have you on weight (3600) but you have a couple extra ponies.

At the wheels I have 410hp.

How about a pass with my little old viper It's eleven years old and only has some mild bolt ons. It made 435hp to the wheels.

Just wax him in the family sedan, it will be much more satisfying IMO. His Diablo is INCREDIBLE but you can beat it by deleting some stuff from your car....TAKE OUT THE SPARE, tools , get rid of the crap making it fat. Im going to waste on that spyder once my DYNAMAGS ARE ON!!

My dad just got a new G SE e-gear coupe. I'm hoping he gives me some seat time in it tonight. I've been in and driven tons of AMGs, stock and modded ones. So I'll give you the seat of the pants review when I get the chance to take this monster for a spin.

Ok, yup, I drove daddy's G over the weekend. To cut a long drawn out synopsis short...its an amazing car. E-gear is great and I hope that AMG will come out with a dual-clutch sequential tranny (DSG) some time in the near future.

From my seat-of-the-pants dyno, I would say that the acceleration on a highway roll is about equal to that of a modded 55 Kompressor car. I now feel that the Gallardo would pull on a 63 pretty hard and would be a GOOD race for a modded E55.

Its strange though, my friend with his Stage 1 E55 (pulley and ECU) was able to put multiple car lengths on a Gallardo E-gear back like 2 years ago. Maybe the newer Gallardo SE's are much faster?

cool man, yeah they are light and great from a roll, I will be racing some in November likely at a drag strip. Hopefully the car is difficult to launch cleanly.

sounds like the New G is fast and fun to dirve.
06-07 is faster than prior G models.

If you have a chance in the 63 it would be vs. an 04 or a heavier model, perhaps one with a passenger and some lead weights in the trunk . Glad you had fun and get to experience such a great car.

Please update us with any of your experiences in your Dad sik ride

On the strip you will see very poor results, mark my words. Ive said it before, Gallardos while an amazing vehicle, are just not that fast. FYI juciee IMO you got 3 tenths just in your tire and wheel setup alone if you switched it

From the Gallardos I've seen racing on the streets, yeah, they don't seem that fast. But when I drove it, it seemed much faster/pulled harder than a stock 55k car. Felt like a 55k with pulley and ECU.

But we all know that you can never trust a SOTP dyno. Also, the e-gear might give the car a more brutal feeling so that could be why.

Still, if a Gallardo SE ran a stock CLS63 I could see it putting lengths on it...maybe not as much as the video but it would beat it.

Jay, we aren't comparing your car . Go race an LP640 or something
