O.K install done , took about 120 seconds (thats 2 min) If anyone wants to know the fastest way to install just ask. Lots of fun and feels great. Trans much tighter. Whats next? I have Headers, Ecu, Lowering Mod by Renntech and now sprint booster. I think LSD is next

I've had the SprintBooster in since the first month I got the car, I can't even drive without it now.

You'll get a bit sick of the jerkyness once in a while so just put it in C mode and it'll be back to normal.

Which headers did you install?

It's basically a chip that gets installed under your accelerator paddle. One screw and it's off, you can plug it in between the current connection. Very self explanatory.
It remove the drive by wire lag these "luxury" cars have.

As for getting one, good luck. I'll sell you mine for a million dollars. lol. There's a guy on the board that sells them from time to time SLKFAN or something like that. Post in OT and you'll find out who it is. But they're hard to come by. Nice thing is they're as good as cash these days cause people will buy them off you in a heartbeat.

Try Ebay Stores and type "Sprint Booster". They have the BD451A2 which is for AMG AUTO TRANSMISSION vehicles. They've got plenty on hand and the price is fixed at $300 including shipping. I bought mine on Friday and got it today! It's not worth saving $50 and hoping and praying it comes in a few months or a few weeks!

Next step is to pick the right tires for the 19" twin spoke AMG wheels. I don't think my 20" Vellano wheels would be to happy nor help my times. Any input on tires and or wheel size?. I love carting, the twisties and high speeds . Not to much time on the ovals but had a blast at the AMG challenge runnig on it. Now if I can only find the book "launching for dummy's" So I can get this beast to the 1/4 mile track. By the way I have been thinking of getting the LSD, think this would this help on the times?

Hey man we need you ....

It would be incredible to see your mods at work.

On your stock rims mount some Michelin Pilot sport CUPS.

255/30/19 or 265/30/19 and 285/30/19 or just put your stock fronts on and you can borrow my 18" with the Nitto drag radials. You will have a blast with the Pilot Sport Cups on any track. You can drive on them as well.

Sounds like your car could do some real damage to the recorded 1/4 mile times for the CLS 63. We just came back from California Speedway and several cars ran stock tires and did fine. So yeah, when ever you wanna go just put your stock rims back on. I think LSD will help you more on the twisties than on the drags, but you may as well go Ballz to the wall with your sik ride..

cool

are your stock rims 18" or 19"? I think 19 so hmm, 19" wheels give us minimal choices. For the strip or the track you need a set of R-compound tires that are DOT approved. You could also mount some drag radials on a set of 18" stock CLS rims and put whatever rubber you want back on the stock rears.Check NITTO, MICHELIN , TOYO, P zero Corsa's, Pilot sport cups, .. Now that I think about it we could just share my drag radials and you could just roll the stock rubber tyo the track w/o replacing your rear rubber. If you really wanna get serious pick up some 18" oem CLS rims and mount em with Pilot sport cups. THAT WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE 18" is way better and if you can get em to fit your car will really love 18" on the strip.

On 18' rims the tire choices are endless!!!! 19" sucks.

I am sure we can get 5-7 Benzes going.
BTW,

Very few CLS 63's have ever hit the 1/4 mile. Its important we get a handful going nationwide. E63 is starting to turn out.

Quickest Install

Rarfinancial,

I'm still interested to hear the "fastest" way to install the sprint booster. My current plan is pulling up the gas pedal, and going at it from there. If there is a faster method I'm all ears.

C55 AMG
I'm glad I could add a little comic relief..lol But really, has anybody come up with a better method of installing the sprintbooster. Right now, the only way I've found for the C55 AMG is through the gas pedal (a cramp position to say the least).
