Angry Trez and Juicee Help Again!!!

I read a previous thread where Trez prouced 440 RWHP with just taking out his charcoal filters. I am sure you read my previous thread about running 400.8 RWHP after the removal of the charcoal filters and an ECU upgrade by Renntech. What the hell is wrong with my car? How am I running so low? I wouldn't have been happy with these numbers preupgrade much less after. Don't even ask, I did not do a dyno before sending off the ECU. I am an idiot, but I am an idiot that needs help getting my car right...HELP

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
No, you're not an idiot.
Quite frankly, we're all learning from your experience as the M156 is a relatively new motor. I really appreciate that you are posting your findings.

Thanks and good luck. I hope you get some answers.

My car did only 8 hp more than yours before and after ecu tune, the tune did not equate to any hp gains. I went back to stock. do you have access to race fuel? or higher octane like 98-103? I think your car simply has too few miles. The car will open up more at 1800 plus. What was the temp outside, humidity? Barometric pressure?

Give me the time and date and zip code of your dyno and i willl do a calculation of air density that will tell us alot. Did you see what temp your engine was on the 400 hp pull? i think the 3rd gear to 142 mph is the best pull. Also did the dyno stop at a certain speed and stop recording the run?

what speed were you going when your car produced max hp?

I would give the car some real hard driving and run some race fues and see ho she adapts, re dyno on a cold day and let the car sit until below 70 oil temp.

If car does not produce a more hp I would get my money back and ask to be flashed to stock

Trez,
Juicee, wow what a response. I wish I could give you all the details. I am not sure of the oil temp, the outside temp was around 92, as for pressure, etc. I do not know. I dyno'd it in Dallas, Texas around 1:00 PM Central Standard Time.
I did race a Mustang Cobra tonight from about a 60 mile an hour punch, and blew it away. I felt like I was in high school on my first date. I kept waiting for him to catch back up and the last run, I let him get a length ahead and blew by him. I hope you are right about the miles and the car breaking in. I am going to the track for the first time tomorrow night but this track only runs 1/8 mile. I will give you feedback after the runs.
Centurion was mentioning a key reset, what is that exactly?

Oh the date on the dyno was October 5.
You also mentioned high octane fuel. I do have access but what is the maximum octane you recomend? Is this bad for the car? Have you heard on anybody running nitrous on a CLS63? I don't think I would ever have the ***** but would like to hear of somebody elses results.

Not exactly sure, but, you know how the car has this feature that "learns" how you drive and will shift the gears according to the way you drive it?...well, I think the key reset is suppose to wipe out it's current program so that you can start out clean to "teach" it again.

As I said, however, I'm not completely sure about this.

I think you dynoed low due to several factors

1. OUTSIDE TEMP way too high
2. Mileage on car
3. ECU tune not yet adapted
4.Car not cooled adequately

Try using 100-103, many feel it does nothing but I have seen some real improvement in my car

After the endless data reading I think juice just nailed it. My car felt like a turd after the tune. Now it feels great in the seat. Never do a key rest once you have an ECU tune. You will have to drive the car for many miles and relearn the whole car over again. Look up KEY RESET in the search box.
