Black 63 or Silver 55?
Need help guys. I'm looking at purchasing a CLS and I've come across 2:
2006 Black CLS 63 Pros
- It's black
2006 Silver CLS 55 Pros
- 55 engine: Had an E55 before and loved the torque and there's much more mods out there for the 55
So there's my problem; I like black cars over silver but prefer the 55 engine. The ideal would be a black 55 but have not come accross a good example for ages. Should I just get the 63 and be satisfied that it probably won't be as quick or modable as a 55 or get the silver and grow to like the colour?
Appreciate your input.

There are no 2006 CLS 63's...
2007 will have more warranty, and black cars rule

True about that Toyota Supra thing, but what feels better than killing a corvette on the strip or from light to light on a four door car thats a daily driver specially with that Tri-Star Logo, thats priceless although its more like 90k. I mean as I can see your buying the AMG because of speed right, so why not go for the car that has more potential but a little bit old. Sorry juicee but 55K are monster and so so handful.

07 CLS 63 09 GL550, 98 Honda Prelude, 08 Honda Civic...yes too many cars
I had a similar position when I puchased my preowned 63, yes it was more expensive but I was thinking about resale, warranty(which in these cars is absolutely essential), and of course having the 63 badge just sounded meaner than having the 55 badge(not a flame, that was just my opinion). I say go with the 63 and soon enough there will be plenty of mods available if you want to be into that, I am pretty satisfied with the power of the 63, the difference is negligible if you are planning on staying stock anyway.

The 63 is much more exclusive, there is only ONE. The BLACK car is stunning IMO, has the least miles of the two and its the NEW model. It has 1 plus year more warranty and yes its the most expensive CLS you are looking at :-).
Help me understand the pricing here are you actually paying 200k for a CLS? 229 AUD? Jeez man, thats hard core expensive

I am leaning towards the black 63. Negotiating on price for both.

Good luck , the CLS is simply the best looking Benz. So whether you decide 55 or 63 the good news is your still getting a sexy body style.
I looked at all the cars you linked , that black cls looked clean. Will they let you take em out? I suggest a weekend test of both. This is a BIG purchase so definately get to know each car your considering. Could you buy one in the USA and ship it? There are some going for 75k here.
Good luck man
