The washer or link method is the best way to go. If you install a module you have to hack the wire harness. If something goes haywire and MB sees the spliced harness.... WARRANTY VOID..
With the links if something goes wrong, just put it back to stock and you won't have any problems. As sensitive as MB's are cutting wires and causing extra resistance is not a good idea.
Of course 5 people will chime in with BLAH BLAH Renntech box, BLAH BLAH Kleeman box yadda yadda waste a lot of money shamma lamma ding dong.
My buddy has installed well over 20 sets of links on SL's/CLS's and has not has a single issue.

First of all, I can't speak for the Renntech module, but the Brabus module uses all of the existing wires, there was no need to splice wires. You simply unplug them from the stock plastic harness and plug them into the new module.
Second, if anything goes wrong with the air suspension at all, regardless if you have a electronic module or washers/links, they have the right to not warranty any work if anything related to the suspension if it was modified.

You shouldn't give people information without being sure..

Yes I am 100% sure.. With Mercedes current attitude a modified harness with a ABC failure is gonna = warranty VOID. Only way you might not have an issue is to have the dealer install it.
Oh and you have to pull the pins OUT of the factory harness then stick them into the new one, AND you still have to splice with the Brabus module... I KNOW I helped put one in. (this was two years ago, so a newer non splice module may be available) Plus you MIGHT be able to put the pins back in IF they dont break off after you remove the module in the event of ABC failure. I doubt many shops have Mercedes harness pins along with the correct electrical tape to make the car look stock again.
Screwing around with the a Mercedes harness is just asking for a nightmare!
The washers/links method is SAFE and it you can return the car to stock in the event of failure without have to yank the car apart and try and patch the harness up so it doesnt look like its been tampered with.

I've personally installed atleast 20 link systems on customers cars over the years, never had a problem they work great. Some adjusting might be needed at first when installed to get the look you want but after that its all good..REnnTECH, brabus, CARRLSON or the KLEEMAN systems all work good too, its just more money................

i got all my cars done at HW motorsports with using links. you can always grind them down on pricing. I did... or hit me up, we can roll together, they charge me half of what they normally charge. it takes approx 1 hour, and they will lower to any height you want.
