Is the Dietz IPOD kit the same as OEM

Had a Dietz IPOD kit installed in my CLS55 yesterday. They said it's the same as OEM. It shows the songs in the speedo LCD and plays. Problem is that I can't figure out how to navigate by album or artist and with 3000 songs it's useless if I can't do that.

I have no documentation and they couldn't figure it out. Any ideas? Is this not in fact an OEM part?

The phone buttons? When I press those it skips 10 songs forward or 10 songs backward.

I have a hard time believe that your unit would have the same OEM functions. When the OEM unit is installed the dealer has to use the Star computer to turn on the Phone feature in the car, which in turn lets you use the phone buttons on the wheel to control the Ipod. Maybe that needs to be done on yours, then the Dietz unit would work. I'd definitely call the company and ask.

Where did you purchase your DIETZ kit from?

Al and Ed's in Santa Monica/West LA. I'm taking it back in the next week since browsing through 3000 songs 10 songs at a time is nearly useless.
