it should only cost you approx $60 to remove the resonator and replace with pipping, any exhaust place can do it.
also check out this thread. it was my cls vs one of my client 335i and My business partner M5. you can sort of hear my exhaust without resonator.

also is it better to replace the resonator with straight pipes or X-pipes?

$200 to $400 sounds way too high.... i suggest going to a small exhaust shop, they will be more resonable.

ill keep looking around. funny thing is they said they can install my renntech headers for under 400. i bet thats much harder to do lol
thanks for the advice. ill go with a straight pipe. why is it better than the xpipe? just wondering what the pros and cons of each are.
