Does anyone know Foglight Bulb Model for 07 CLS63 ?
The Sylvania bulb replacement finder does not list it,I am ordering a HID kit online and I drove the wife's car to work today so the manual is at home...
Can a fellow cls63'er who has the manual at hand tell me the bulb type ?
I looked at the cls55 spec and it says H7, but the cls550 takes the h11...
thanks!

Looks like H11 is high beam fog and H7 is low beam both work on CLS 06-07

Search this Site ... I'm almost sure someone has done that upgrade here. I remember reading about it!

Hello All,
I currently researching this for my cls55 also,
http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/
it does list the fog light as h7 for the cls55, but as stated previously the cls63 it does not show the bulb spec for the fog light.
The problem with the manual is that it's misleading, it's showing you the bulbs for the non amg version of your car. Look at the picture of the car in the manual, its the 500 or 550.
From looking at pics of a real cls63 it looks to be the exact same as the cls55. I went to the dealer to but a new fog light grill and 2 new chrome bezels that surround the fog light. The illustrated diagrams that they had in the computer was of the 500/550, so i argued with them that it was wrong , and they agreed, because the fog light on the 500/550 is centered, on the 55/63 it's pushed to the edge of the car. Even though the parts numbers were correct, the diagram illustration (explodedview) are wrong. they even looked up a cls63 diagram and it was still the diagram of the 500/550 .They did tell me it was h7 for the 55 fog light.
I was looking to do the quad 8000K upgrade also. But i found PIAA makes a 8000k h7 bulb 55w from japan with no ballasts to install. so im trying this first. I found it at a local shop in jersey that sells imported lights from japan. see attached pic
good luck all. post your results
Heliolite makes an 8000k bulb hid-d2s which will supposedly work without fail.

followup
here are the pics, I will probably switch these into my high beams. i think i will go for the ballast hid fog light install cause i want them brighter. dont get me wrong they are a very nice color. One of the guys at the local dealer will do it ofr me and hide everything. I still need to do the headlights to 8000k, ill post them when i get the bulbs.
And yes my grill is white, and my fog grills are currently "black", i have 2 sets, one black and one white, i change them to keep my car transforming. I did paint my grill white, and the vertical fins white as well, it has a "shark" look in my opinion.
*update* I asked the tech today about the cls63 fog lights he said H7 same as the cls55.

Update: ARRGGHH!... after finally removing the stock foglight 2 hrs ago, found out it was H7 and not H11 as stated in the manual. MB sucks! what a waste of time, at least the good news is that I figured out you can remove the foglights from the front, no need to jack up the car/etc.
hopefully the shop I bought the h11 kit from will swap it for an H7
joecampo was right, well i guess thats the last time I trust MB's specifications...

I bought the more expensive Mtec kit for my wifes SLK350 from japan since they were replacing the main headlights, and they were amazing. no resistors needed nothing.
For the CLS foglamps, since its purely looks, I went with a slightly cheaper (and local) alternative, which was a good idea since the bulbs turned out to be different and I can exchange them effortlessly.
