The Usual Suspect: rear tire wear on CLS63
Closing in on 12k w. my 08 CLS63, it's time to think about new rubber on the rear. I have Pirelli P Zero Rosso's, 285ZR19x30--has anyone tried anything different? Would 295's fit? Is there another tire that would wear longer and cost less? Yeah, yeah, I know, there's no free lunch, but...... I don't track it, just hire a little 'ol lady to drive it to church on Sun's.

295 will fit lots of tire choices that are les than the pirelli's , Falken, Bridgestones, Yokohama, I buy used tires off ebay save major coin and for a place like phoenix you could get away with 70% tread dry traction tires. You can get a 70-90 % tread tire for 150.00 per set. Or spend 400-500 per tire. I wear mine out quick so ebay is a good choice 4 me. Try NITTO invo's, if you wanna do a great tire that is a bit less than the Rosso's.. You can do a 265-295 rear tire range

Thanks, Juicee, for the info. Real experience speaks loud and clear. I'll do some shopping around. BTW, I couldn't get the 030 pkg. when I ordered my 63-- would you get it again?
