SL 65 will be powered by a 6.0-litre bi-turbo V12 powerplant putting out some 612 hp and torque in excess of 1,000 Nm. The SL 63, replacing the SL 55, will get a 525 hp V8 with 630 Nm of torque.

I heard from guys at the dealer that the front end will be slr inspired. Anyone else hear the same ?

I would rather save for the 605hp 7 speed 65 amg because it now has two extra gear and will look phenomenal and unbelievably aggressive.

None of the spy photos show an SLR type nose....

The SL65 will still maintain the same 5 Speed Transmission that it currently has. The 7 Speed can't handle the torque of the 65.

The Lorenser rear end outdoes MB redesign hand downs. The full Lorenser body kit on a SL is a drop dead design that truely makes it stand out. Of course it's an xtra $40K retail.

And it doesn't carry a factory warranty. Besides this one is aerodynamically tested. Supposedly there is more aerodynamic work that takes place under the body as well and its nearly flat with unerbody diffusers, this is what our AMG rep at Laguna Niguel tells me. I would seriosuly consider replacing the E63 and S80 if this puppy comes out the way I want.
