Dead Battery....Jumping advice

Been raining here for basically three weeks straight and havent driven my car, so of course when I go to drive it today the battery is dead. Is there anything I should be concerned about when jumping the battery? I see the battery in the trunk and from my memory I thought you are supposed to ground the dead battery's negative on the engine block, so where would be a good place to ground it on the benz? Maybe on the wheel of the spare tire? Any input is appreciated. I'm not an idiot, just don't want to F anything up.

I jumped my 55 and almost destroyed the electrical system. I use a portable recharger, jump pack. Get one from pep boys or checker etc. If you must you can ground the neg on the rear tow hook under the bumper

hey joe,

if i were you, i'd just call mbz roadside assistance.
it's free....well....not really....you paid for it when you bought the car.
so why get your hands dirty?
give them a call....kick back....and let mbz take care of it.

Dudes its just a jump. Ground it to the chasis if you can, the spare is NOT grounded (almost by definition) lol, it's covered in rubber and isulated no ground there.
