Ordering 2009 CLS63

Ordering 2009 CLS63
I went to my local dealer and have put down the deposit towards the purchase of a 2009 cls63. Going over the options, his system did not allow to add a designo package along with the P030 AMG Performance Package (which is required in my case).
When selecting options on "www.carsdirect.com", I was able to choose both of these options for a 2008 model. I am just wondering what the real scoop is for 2009??? Can you not get a designo package with the P30 package or can you? Does anyone have a 2008 (or older model) with both of these options / configuration?
Also, would you mind sharing what price did you pay when you ordered your cls? Was it the MSRP, over or under? How much?
I can see 2008 cls63 on ebay listed for about $10 - $12K under the MSRP. What should be the fair market value or the price I should expect to pay for a 2009 model?

You won't get 10-12k off from a dealer but they will move to 6k on a loaded one with no problems whatsoever. What you get more than this is up to your bargaining skills/longevity in the search.

A South Carolina dealer (Dick Dyers) has listed an '08 cls63 for 89,989.00, the MSRP of which is $101,545, but I am interested in '09 because of all the changes.

If you push your dealer, depending on inventory, you should be able to get the ebay deal or come very close to it. Will certainly not work at all dealers. But the ebay deal shows you what is possible.

I was told a couple of times before that the Performance Package can NOT be along with the designo option (that was in regards to CL63 though). They told me these options are either or. I think the reason is because the designo package comes with special wood while the Performance Package comes with Carbon Fiber trim.

I am assuming 2009 has the refreshed face lifted CLS and drum beat........ new trany MCT or something, if that is not listed go back and cancel and wait till its out or you are going to be pissed
although first year models of new stuff do tend to go wrong..so depends if you want to be one of the first or not
also two new wheels to choice from which both look sexy ! and new exterior mods Available to

Last week, one of our SVP's bought an 08 Infiniti G37S. Boy, the Mercedes' COMAND/Navi system, even the latest and greatest v7.0 and now perhaps the 09 one also, look truly ancient and legacy by comparison to any of the top-tier Jap's (Lexus, Infiniti, etc.). The G37S' simply embarassed the Mercedes' Navi system in every respect: GUI, intuitiveness, user-friendly, display capabilities (birdseye view), etc. Even the 09 63's looks like the same ole, same ole warmed over.....
