Tire question

Wanted to know what is the best tire for cls 55 oem 19's. Need tires and the pirellis that are on the car are absolutelly terrible: very noisy and very hard seems like they are made from plastic. Tire rack gives very poor choices for the tire for our car. I love michelin ps2 and bridgestone 050 pole position, but none of those are available for cls 55. Please help.

My suggestion is to go to 20" rims and go with Falken FK-42. I've been doing research on tires for seems like the last two months. Best option is to go with the 20's. You can either put on Falken FK-452's or Michelin PS2's.

On a similar note.

I have the Contis. Really like them.

What tire presures are appropriate for the 20s?

has anyone tried the toyo t1r's for any length of time? I had the last model, the t1s on a previous car and the noise got really bad after a few thousand miles.

I have the 20" Toyo T1R's on my Lexus; nice tires but VERY noisy, and that's on a LEXUS (which is a rather quiet car).

Have the P Zero Rosso's now (wearing out). After quite a bit of research, probably will go w/ the Nitto Invo's (19"). Not a lot of choices if you want the front and rear to be the same tires. Have Michelin PS2's on the M5; great tires but the wear is pretty ferocious unfortunately.

After nearly two years I find the best combo to be different brands!

I finally torched my Rosso's after 20k miles. The rear Pilot Sport Cups are done after 5-7k. I did not like the Bridestone RE050, too hard, Toyo T1R has gotten alot of good feedback here, conti sport 3?

hehe seems me and you are on the same track ;p. I have stock Pzero rosso at the fronts and PS2 rears. With the rosso i would just spin spin and spin some more the changing into 2nd gear made the car just hit a wall due to the wheel spin and traction cutting power.
Now PS2 emmm that is a nice tire and hard to find!!!! invo even harder grrr

295 fits on a 9.5 ich stock rear

vredestein ultrac sessanta for oem 19" wheels

I am very happy with these in their own right and especially so in bang for the buck.
I have the rears in 295s on the stock 9.5" wheels with no problems.
This is a very highly rated tire in UK and German car magazines.
fyi, my oem donut emergency spare tire on my CLS55 is also made by vredestein.
